Incredible bus is also a tunnel

Chinese designers have come an innovative cost-effective public transport: the bus tunnel.
The remarkable bus straddles two lanes so that cars driven from below, while it takes up to 1,200 passengers.
It is environmentally friendly because it runs on electricity, using a state-of-the-art loading system. Called relay charging leads the roof of the bus current loading and contacts specific posts, as it moves along.
It is cheaper, because there are two ways it could work: First of all, are special titles could be transferred to any side of the road, like a streetcar.
Or second, could easily be colored lines painted on them to automatically follow conventional to the tires on the road. It will be a driver on the bus at all times, though.
Elevated stations are built to allow passengers to embark, or where there is no place for those who have bus conductors. The emergency exits will be inflatable slides.
And when the bus straddling everything seems to be true to futuristic, it is not surprising - a pilot with over 115 miles of track in Beijing to begin before 2011.
The experiments will focus on traffic management and safety. Managing the flow of traffic is a problem: how, for example, to disable a bus during a road traffic is certainly not guaranteed.
The advanced stage of the plan suggests this is not an insurmountable problem. And who knows - it could revolutionize the public transportation outside of China. London, perhaps?
